ACPE FFELP Loan Consolidation Activity SuspendedThe Alaska Student Loan Corporation Board approved an indefinite suspension of ACPE's FFELP consolidation program at their March 18, 2009 meeting. As you may be aware, most FFELP lenders are no longer offering consolidation loans. Students can still consolidate their loans with the US Department of Education's Federal Direct Loan Consolidation program at loanconsolidation.ed.gov even if their college does not participate in the Direct Loan Program. Existing ACPE consolidation borrowers who want to review loan terms and benefits can visit the archived ACPE FFELP consolidation Web page.
